Bircher muesli is my favourite breakfast.  It is great as you prepare it the night before and it is ready when you wake up.


2 cups of rolled oats
1 ¾ cups of milk
¼ cup of apple juice
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 grated apple with a peel
1 ½ cups of plain yoghurt
2 tablespoons of honey
A dash of cinnamon
Topping of your choice e.g. berries, nuts, dried fruit, shavings of coconut

    Start Cooking

  1. Combine oats, milk, apple juice and lemon juice in a bowl. Refrigerate overnight.
  2. In the morning add the grated apple, honey, yoghurt and cinnamon and mix well (if you don’t have time do it in the morning, do it all the night before).
